They last only a few minutes so the most efficient
Herb runs earn the potential to earn between 2-4m per hour. This is despite the downside that you're able to perform it for 6 minutes once twice a day or less. It's a great way to get away from what you're working on for example, to test a skill, or to start or end your time playing RS. If you value time at above 4 m/h and you are not farming, don't. Herbs.
The intention behind Herb runs is to Herb course is travel as quickly as you can through all Herb patches that are to hand, collect herbs to offer for sale and then plant the seeds to reap later. If you have the top equipment and using all 5 patches you can complete the run in just under 6 minutes when the timer starts as soon as you teleport to Trollheim and ending after all patches are harvested and put back in the ground, and all the equipment is kept in storage.
This Ardougne Cloak 4 can be replaced by either Ardougne Cloak 2 or 3 The Cloaks will only utilize the Farm patch teleport each day. Otherwise, you could use Teleport for North Ardougne (must unlock at Livid Farm) however, this is a long way away from the patches for farming.
Teleport to Catherby is a possibility to replace it with a Teleport towards Camelot or a Camelot tab. The Trollheim Patch cannot be diseased/die. Magic Secateurs are optional but increase Herb yield. At present, I'm not sure if it is worthwhile to make use of Juju Farming potion - even though they're useful, they take a very lengthy time in gathering the ingredients for. They do provide Torstol seeds an option for earning money, with in the majority of cases more than Snapdragon even on other patches than those on the Trollheim patch.
One thing to note this time around, which covers several options, however I'm pretty much in agreement. Juju farming potions, they're a wonderful addition to an herb run. They give you an 1 in 3 chance of getting 2 herbs the same time. I've only done an herb run that has less than 50 herbs , even if some die. My highest is over 70.
However, as leaf states it's unnecessary to camp Herblore Habitat just to prepare the potions. I make them each week for the quick bonus of finding all 10/13 jadinkos & any seeds that I discover that are planted and utilized.
They last only a few minutes so the most efficient route I've seen for obtaining every patch with one dose of potion is to go to the Trollheim patch, drink an ounce of juju in the farming pot, repeat step, Ectophial transfer towards Port Phasmatys & run to patch, REPEAT STEP cabbage port (explorer ring) to Falador patch REPEAT STEP Cloak port to Ardougne Farm and then REPEAT STEP. Camelot tab & proceed up to Catherby patch, REPEAT STEP. It's not enough time for a tour of the landscape, so don't fill up buckets, talking etc till after you've collected Catherby.
