This Privacy Policy explains what information CGMIMM (“CGMIMM,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. CGMIMM operates a local business search engine and a related suite of tools at cgmimm.com and on our subdomains.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — name, email, password (hashed), and optional phone number when you register.
  • Business information — when you claim or add a listing, the business name, address, contact info, hours, photos, services, attributes, and any content you publish.
  • Posts & messages — anything you post publicly (reviews, photos, classifieds, job postings) and messages you send through our platform.
  • Payment details — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we store only the customer and subscription IDs needed to manage your account.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, searches run, clicks, and the businesses you view.
  • Device data — IP address, user agent, approximate location derived from IP, and similar diagnostics.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — used for sign-in sessions, preferences, and analytics.

Information from third parties

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile photo. We may also enrich business listings using public sources (e.g., OpenStreetMap and Google Places).

How we use information

  • To operate the search engine, return relevant results, and rank listings.
  • To create and secure your account and manage subscriptions.
  • To send transactional email — claim status, lead notifications, billing receipts.
  • To improve our products, measure ad performance, and detect abuse.
  • To comply with law and enforce our terms.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share data only as needed to run the service:

  • Service providers — Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Cloudflare R2 (storage), Supabase / Vercel (hosting & database). These providers are bound by their own data-protection agreements.
  • Business owners you contact — when you submit a lead or job application to a member business, that business receives your name, contact info, and message.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, to protect rights, or to investigate suspected fraud or abuse.
  • Business transfers — if CGMIMM is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the new entity, subject to this policy.

Public content

Business listings, reviews, posts, photos, and job postings you publish are public and indexed by search engines. Don't post anything you wouldn't want the world to see.

Your choices

  • Access & update — sign in and edit your profile or business listing at any time.
  • Delete your account — contact us and we'll delete personal data we hold, subject to legal retention.
  • Email preferences — every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages (billing, lead alerts) can't be opted out of while your account is active.
  • Cookies — most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Some site features may break without them.

Data retention

We keep information while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to handle disputes, comply with law, and prevent abuse. Public listings and reviews may persist even after account deletion.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, restricted access). No system is perfectly secure — if we discover a breach affecting you we'll notify you as required by law.

Children

CGMIMM is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us to request deletion if you believe a child has provided data.

International users

CGMIMM is operated from the United States and information is processed here. If you use the service from outside the U.S., you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or a notice in the app.
