Only gently weathered by the vagaries of time, the Fairbanks House stands as the oldest timber frame building in North America. This phenomenal house was built in 1637 for Jonathan and Grace Fairbank and their six children. Having gained status as a historic house museum, this house was inhabited by eight generations of the Fairbank family. The original house was smaller than its current rendition which came to be after constant changes and additions to its construction over the years. Pay a visit to this historic wonder between May and October, which is when tours are conducted here.
