Momma Emma raised ten children and taught her daughters and granddaughters the secrets of Southern cooking. She thrived on meat — tender, succulent, spicy, smokey barbecue . Like Jack Sprat, her husband Albert Sr. was a vegetarian. Her daughters opened Rainier Avenue Emma’s BBQ in fall 2016.
