Natural Bridge State Resort Park — State Prisons in Slade, KY

Established in 1926, Natural Bridge State Resort Park is named after a magnificent sandstone arch called the Natural Bridge, which is nearly 78 feet (23 meters) long and 65 feet (19 meters) high. At this massive 2,250-acre (910 hectares) park, you can spend your time bird-watching and try to spot woodpeckers, American goldfinch, song sparrows, northern cardinal, and great blue heron among others. You can also camp and picnic or indulge in activities such as canoeing, kayaking or simply hike through the park and explore its natural beauty.
