The 2K21 storyline this year is among the most disappointing stories in recent show the past, and the reason for this is that everything is about you. 2K21 had a very fun G League path where you gained a sense of your teammates as you developed your character and got ready for your draft. There's nothing in 2K22 that creates a actual emotional connection to the draft team you've been assigned to.

The 2K22 city is bigger than ever before... but that's not necessarily a great thing. It's like this team of 2K players is in the process of creating the perfect basketball-based MMO. The game has daily challenges scattered across the city, and you're asked to travel from one area to another to attend a meeting.
But it doesn't distract from the major strength of 2K22's gameplay on the court. I don't really want to spend 45 seconds dangling from my house to a shoe store just to improve my appearance. Do that through the menu using a clicks so that I can get back to my basketball.
