EA Its Madden 22 Franchise Updates are Being Held Despite Rumors of Cancellation. In spite of rumors that were circulated on social media this week, EA continues to plan to launch two updates for Madden 22's Franchise mode, reiterating what it describes as its support for Madden as a live-streamed game.
In a new statement, EA Sports told IGN: We don't want to discuss rumors or speculation, but we are committed to continuing to enhance Franchise as element of our Madden NFL 22 live service, and even beyond. This includes two coming Franchise updates that will be available in Madden NFL 22. We'll give more information about the updates during the new year.
The announcement follows an announcement by Sports Gamers Online that EA was deciding to cancel any additional games with franchise-based modes in Madden 22. It partly cited IGN's own conversation with Madden 22 executive producer Seann Graddy.
He said that the roadmap for content for the year ahead is "slightly smaller than the ones of years in the past" because the team is limited to a handful of areas rather than attempting to roll out content on the scale of Superstar KO, a well-received arcade mode released within Madden 20.
