Despite rumors suggesting EA Sports has cancelled the remainder of the Franchise Mode updates in Madden 22 The developer and publisher insists that there are two updates in the pipeline for the feature. I reached out to EA's representatives by email and received the same response, that was included in a couple of other publications.
"We do not want to talk about rumors and speculation, but we're determined to enhance Franchise as component of the ongoing Madden NFL 22 live service and beyond. This includes two coming Franchise updates we'll be releasing in Madden NFL 22. We will have more details on the changes in the coming year."
EA announced a plan to revamp its franchise mode following the launch of Madden 21. The hashtag FixMaddenFranchise, which I began in 2020 and circulated to a number of influencers within the community of the game seemed to play a role in shifting the focus of EA. The hashtag was trending as the No. 1 on Twitter which prompted a response from the Madden head of the franchise, Sean Graddy.
EA has continuously provided updates for the mode after 2020, but it does not have the depth and immersion that other versions of the concept with other sports titles. Although this franchise game still not as enjoyable as one would wish but it has made improvements.
EA Sports has confirmed that it will continue to update and support Madden NFL 22's Franchise mode after reports suggesting that the developer will not release any further updates for it. In a statement sent to IGN an official from EA Sports said more updates are expected as part Madden NFL 22's live-service approach.
