How much lawn are we covering?
Measure it roughly — the price is confirmed on site.
Not sure? A two-car driveway is about 400 sq ft. Pace it out — a stride is close to three feet.
Sod installation cost: what to know
How much does sod installation cost?+
Typically about $1.70–$2.00 per square foot installed, depending on the grass: the sod itself, installation (about $1.25 per sq ft) and delivery. A 2,000 sq ft yard usually lands between $3,500 and $4,500. Use the calculator for your yard and grass.
Why does the price jump at certain sizes?+
Sod is sold by the whole pallet (about 450–500 sq ft each), and about 20% extra is ordered for cuts and edges. When your yard crosses a pallet boundary, one more pallet is needed — so the price steps up, exactly as the real order does.
Which grass should I choose?+
Sun matters most: St. Augustine and Zoysia handle shade, Bermuda and Buffalo need full sun. Bermuda and Zoysia take the most foot traffic; Buffalo and Bermuda need the least water. In the north, Kentucky Bluegrass and Tall Fescue are the usual choices. The calculator ranks the grasses for your yard.
What isn't included?+
Removing an old lawn, grading or bringing in topsoil, when a yard needs it, is priced by the installer on site.
