Activision Blizzard released D2R Ladder just days ago, and it's already the target of controversy and review bombing because of its microtransactions that are more than what gamers would pay. However one D2R Ladder fan that was comfortable with microtransactions paid the money to create a Clan however, he was dismissed from the group after making a minor error.
Reddit user Mrcaruthers recently shared their first experience with D2R Ladder and their frustration with Clans costing money , despite having a D2R Ladder mechanic automatically kicking players from the Clans. A lot of players are still creating Clans, and to explore the time gap between Diablo 2 to Diablo 3 on D2R Ladder together with buddies. Certain players, such as Mrcaruthers, have opted to play the Shadow Lottery as a way to become a Shadow and be part of a Dark Clan in D2R Ladder. but the Reddit user wasn't fully aware of the limitations prior to making the change.
Mrcaruthers declared that they made a payment to establish their own clan. They did this after leveling to the next level in D2R Ladder to reach level 30. Shortly after, they were a Shadow when a friend recommended the switch. According to the Mrcaruthers, being a Shadow immediately threw them out from their Clan, despite being the leader of the group, and D2R Ladder did not offer any warning or any indication that something so important would change. Due to this error, Mrcaruthers logged an official complaint in the name of Activision Blizzard, but the Game Masters were unable to help the D2R Ladder fan with their concern.
