I use an eclectic approach, integrating contemporary psychology with the timeless wisdom of yoga, Ayurveda and meditation. Yoga Psychotherapy is a collaborative endeavor where clients are expected to take full responsibility for, and participate in, their own healing. I hold a non-pathologizing view and believe that each client is inherently whole and innately moving in that direction Sessions promote compassionate and honest self-reflection so that clients can acknowledge their actual situation both internally (thoughts, feelings and behaviors) and externally (their lives around them). Clients are then resourced with powerful techniques to heal any psycho-emotional imbalances. My practice is informed by my almost 20 years of study and practice of yoga and meditation. I do not see the mind as an agent of change alone and therefore utilize unique interventions that assist in healing deep patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
