Trauma Therapy of Nashville was founded by Melanie Reese, a board-certified, psychotherapist in private practice on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Melanie's education and professional background in both the mind and body give her a unique and effective approach to therapy.

She has been treating individuals, particularly women and young adults, with Trauma, Women's Issues and Chronic Pain for many years. Having seen first hand how our mind and body are deeply connected, Melanie has developed her unique approach to mental health wellness with that foremost in mind. She uses clinically tested and evidence based interventions such as Brainspotting, EMDR, Animal Assisted Psychotherapy and Trauma Informed Yoga with clients. With extensive training in trauma therapy, integrative cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques, Melanie works with individuals to make lasting changes in their lives.
