Dr. Bucay obtained her doctoral degree from the Baylor College of Medicine located in Houston, Texas, after obtaining her undergraduate degree from the respected Johns Hopkins University. Having completed her dermatology training at the University of Miami as well as at the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Bucayis now serving as a volunteer faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center, where she is the Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Physician Assistant Studies.
