Built in 1909 as a sports arena, the Armory Track & Field Center was an active venue, until it was used as a shelter for the homeless around the year 1987. After the economic Depression, renovations have let the center regain its lost glory. Track and field events, championship matches, sports workshops for children are held regularly at this center. The center features an indoor track which was an addition to the arena after the renovations.
