The VA loan was designed to offer long-term financing to eligible American veterans or their surviving spouses (provided they do not remarry). The basic intention of the VA direct home loan program is to supply home financing to eligible veterans in areas where private financing is not generally available and to help veterans purchase properties with no down payment. Eligible areas are specified annually based on population by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is dedicated to helping the men and women who have served our country get homes, with the help of a VA loan. To qualify for a VA loan, you must have served a certain number of days of active duty or have been honorably discharged, have good credit and sufficient income, and most importantly, be eligible for a VA certificate of eligibility.

If you are a disabled veteran, you may also be eligible for special grants to service members to help them purchase or build an adapted home or make modifications to their current home where they'll be living. You can apply for a VA certificate online by going to the respective portal and filling out an application form. Alternatively, you can apply by mail by sending in your completed paper form. Once it has been approved, you can bring it into the Residential Mortgage Network, Inc. office with the rest of your paperwork so we can begin processing your loan.
