Punta Gorda Woman's Club was established in 1925, and united three different women's organizations operating at the time, into one. The beautiful club building was constructed on donated land in the Mediterranean Revival style of architecture. The club also has the distinction of operating one of the region's earliest public libraries. The club is functional to this day and organizes numerous community events and activities.
