We started this journey of health and wellness about a year ago to lose weight and improve overall fitness. Even though I am a nurse practitioner with over 16 years' experience I did not know the most successful approach to start and was frustrated with my weight fluctuations over the years. What I discovered is that diets are temporary, and many times lead to increased weight gain after you return to your normal eating habits.
