He is on a mission to revolutionize how autoimmune and chronic disease is treated worldwide by teaching the science-based fundamentals of Functional Medicine. He has been practicing for over 30 years, and is quadruple board certified in Functional and Regenerative Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Bilstrom is the Director of the International Autoimmune Institute — the first medical center in the country associated with a teaching hospital to treat all types of autoimmune disease using Functional Medicine.
