Up Then and NowA Look at Our Building's History1890Our building was once home to a hardware store owned by George O. Bailey, a prominent businessman, Civil War veteran, and former mayor of Belfast from 1897 to 1898. Bailey served as a captain in the 26th Maine Infantry Regiment and fought in several major battles, including the Battle of Gettysburg. Today, his legacy lives on in the historic building that houses our restaurant.
