Founded in 1995, Community Partnership for Homeless is a nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors. It assists homeless men, women and children in Miami-Dade County in Florida and helps them attain stability and self-sufficiency in their lives. The residents are provided three meals per day, clothing, shower facility, temporary housing, laundry facilities, transportation, case management services, job development and training, permanent housing assistance and an on-site child care program. The Family Resource Center is a part of the multidisciplinary team approach of Community Partnership for Homeless to provide at-risk youth ages 5 to17 and their parents with a continuum of services and programs. It also operates a more than 400-bed center, known as Chapman Center, which has facilities for single and family residents and includes a worship center, child care facilities, a full medical facility and a vocational training center.
