Cave Run Lake is surrounded by the undulating mountainside of Eastern Kentucky. Sprawled across 8,270 acres (3,346 hectares), the lake is a prime source of water supply in the region. Spend an idyllic weekend at the lake and enjoy excellent recreational activities. Head over to the boat ramp and take a boat out into the sparkling waters, try your luck with fishing, have a leisurely picnic at the one of the two designated picnic areas, explore the trails that run through the verdant environs, or go wildlife viewing.
