Big Bear Resort on Kentucky Lake, founded in 1948, is located on more than 52-acres of woodland in Benton, Ky. It accommodation includes dens and treetop condominiums, town houses, chalets, woodland villa, lake block cottages, duplex and apartments, executive cottages, and log cabins. The gift shop and store on the marina offers suntan lotions, sodas, sugar, canned goods, milk, bread, candies, camera films, batteries, charcoal, lighter fluid, firewood, and pool accessories, such as swim floats, rafts and goggles. It also provides a full-line of customized apparel, including shirts, jerseys, hats and jackets. Big Bear s marina is equipped with more than 100 covered and open slips with full electric hook-ups and lighted docks, and can accommodate from bass and jon boats to large cruisers. It also rents water skis, tubes, paddle and pontoon boats, and ski boat. The resort also offers a wide range of activities, such as volleyball, basketball, swimming and campground activities.
