The concept behind this upscale restaurant located in Old Town Scottsdale is to bring authentic recipes from Mexico City and add twists and variations to further emphasize the flavors. For example, the Nopales or prickly pear cactus taco is a vegetarian's dream taco, especially when topped with pickled onions. The restaurant was established by talented chef Silvana Esparza and though she is no longer in the kitchen, her influence and dishes have remained. Some include the massive variety of aforementioned street tacos, stuffed chiles, and of course, table-side guacamole. The bar slings plenty of innovative margaritas, tequilas and cervezas as well. If you can't make it to this location, there is another one in the far East Valley suburb of Gilbert.
